Quote on the state of our sport and where it's going: Right now we are in a bit of a ridiculous state due to the split between federations, it seems as though some of the athletes are getting screwed while non-competitors are making all the decisions. I am hoping that in the coming years the competitors will stand up and demand more for themselves and our sport. I do believe the sport is becoming more mainstream and marketable and I am hoping we will capitalize on that in the near future.

Advice to beginners on getting into strongman: Build a good solid foundation and focus on becoming an athlete not necessarily becoming stronger. In our sport I believe you will gain more as a technician than as a "power/static athlete".
Give us your predictions on the year 2008: This year is up in the air, there are so many good guys coming up that it is hard to predict what will happen. I know we will see the level of competition rise to greater heights and we will see some seriously impressive performances.
Most impressive feat you've ever seen: Sarge's 98 rep bodyweight squat!
Strongman you admire the most: Odd Haugen, Roger Ortmayer, and anyone who is like these guys and doesn't make excuses, just goes out there and lays it on the table every time.
The persons responsible for making me the person I am today: My Wife, Floyd Wilder.
Defining moment that made me get into strongman: See previous story.
