If sponsorship participation is a way to gage the future of American Strongman, the future looks bright.
Gold's Gym and Pacifico Ford have stepped up to the plate to become title sponsors for the ASC Qualifiers in Utah and Philadelphia respectively.
Gold's Gym ponied up $25,000 in prize money to be distributed for both the heavyweight qualifier and 105K National Championship. In addition, some of that prize money will be distributed to the Pro/Am heavyweight competition that is to take place the weekend of June 9 & 10 in Mapleton, Utah.
Pacifico Ford is the title sponsor for the Liberty Strongman Classic in the Delaware Valley for the third consecutive year. This year Pacifico Ford is putting up $12,000 of which $10,000 will make up the prize money purse for the qualifier scheduled for June 30 & July 1 at the Lagoon and Daniel S. Frawley Stadium.
The Greater Media Group is the presenting sponsor for the Philadelphia area event. The national radio corporation is putting up aproximately $15,000 in advertising mostly on Sports Talk 950.
Financial giant Merrill Lynch is on board in Philadelphia as an event sponsor for the Atlas Stones Challenge.
The prize package in Tulsa is as outstanding as the lineup.
The shows so far this year have been incredible.
It is great performances that will give ASC President Dione Wessels and her crew the opportunity to keep getting major corporations and more main stream media to support our great sport.
